For 1099 closers and solar dealers
Google Ads for solar dealers and 1099 reps.
You sell for an installer. You want your own leads in your own territory. We run Google Search ads in an account you own, and every lead comes to your phone.
- Zip codes you pick
- Account in your name, not ours or the installer's
- Goes with you if you switch installers
What changed in 2026
A lot of reps started over this year.
Ch. 7
Freedom Forever, the #2 installer in 2025, filed Chapter 11 in April 2026 and sought Chapter 7 in August.
30 to 40%
Share of residential solar sold door to door, per industry estimates.
$3,000
Minimum monthly ad spend at $100/day, paid to Google. Plan for it before you start.
- 01
Your company might be gone.
Freedom Forever, Sunnova, PosiGen and SunPower all went bankrupt. Lots of dealers and closers now sell for a new installer and start with zero leads.
- 02
Doors are slower.
Industry reports point to longer sales cycles and falling close rates. More knocks for the same deal.
- 03
You sell a payment now.
Installers quoting leases or PPAs on EnergySage went from 14% to 41%. The pitch is a lower monthly bill, not a tax credit.
- 04
Agencies skip reps.
Most solar ad agencies only work with installers. Reps get aged lists or shared leads. Running your own ads in your own account is rare.
What we run for you
Your territory, and nothing outside it.
Ads only show in the zip codes you and your installer agree on. Every click outside them is wasted money for you.
Local solar buyers
- solar company [your city]
- solar panels near me
- solar installers [county]
Shoppers in your zips. Most of your budget goes here.
Lease and $0 down
- solar lease [city]
- no money down solar
- solar ppa [state]
What your installer most likely sells now.
Utility bill pain
- [utility name] solar
- high electric bill [city]
- lower my electric bill
Homeowners angry at their utility. Utility names are fine as keywords, never as if you're them.
Searches we block
- solar sales jobs
- solar rep commission
- become a solar dealer
- free solar
- solar tax credit
- diy solar
Added as negative keywords before launch, then checked against real search terms after launch.
Who owns what
Your leads stay yours, even if you switch installers.
What a lead looks like
Texted and emailed to you in seconds.
Tom B. · Chandler, AZ
- Owns the home, zip inside your territory
- Bill about $240/mo in summer
- Wants a lease, no money down
- Home most evenings

Illustrative example. Not a real person or a real result.
The lead goes to your phone and inbox. Not the installer's office, not a call center.
- 1The homeowner fills out the form on your landing page.
- 2The lead hits your phone and inbox. Nobody else gets it.
- 3You call while they still have the page open.
- 4You mark sat and signed. We send that back to Google so it finds more like them.
Fit check
Is this for you?
Good fit
- You have a set territory your installer agrees to
- Your installer allows rep-run ads, and says how its name can be used
- You can cover $500 setup plus about $3,000 a month in ads, and keep it running while the ads learn
- You can call a lead back within minutes
- You hold any license your state requires to sell solar
Not a fit
- Cash is tight this month
- You switch installers every few months
- Your installer doesn't allow reps to run ads
- You want aged lists to cold call
What it costs
No monthly fee until you close a deal.
Be honest with yourself about the ad spend. $3,000 a month is real money for a 1099 closer. Ads need time and budget to learn. Starting short on cash wastes both.

FAQ
Questions
Whose name goes on the ads?+
Yours, or your installer's with their written OK. The form names the one company the homeowner agrees to hear from.
Can two reps from the same installer both run ads?+
Yes, in different territories. If two reps target the same zips they bid against each other and both pay more, so we won't set that up.
What happens if I change installers?+
The account is yours. We update the ads and the landing page for the new company. Your history and data stay.
Is $100/day really the minimum?+
Yes. Below that, there aren't enough clicks to learn what works or to give you enough leads to judge it.
When does the monthly fee start?+
The month after your first signed contract from these ads. Until then you pay $500 setup and your ad spend to Google.
